Surat (Gujarat) [India], January 30: Sarvajanik University, Surat, a leading private university known for providing quality and affordable education, successfully organised its 4th Convocation Ceremony on Friday, 23rd January 2026, at the M.T.B. Cricket Ground, Sarvajanik Education Society Campus, Athwa Lines, Surat.

Established by the Sarvajanik Education Society, a philanthropic and democratic educational trust, Sarvajanik University continues its strong legacy in the field of education. The University offers multidisciplinary programmes in Engineering, Business and Management, Architecture and Interior Design, Fine Arts, Performing Arts, Commerce, Law, Science, and Humanities. At present, the University has eight constituent colleges and offers 53 Undergraduate, Postgraduate Diploma, Postgraduate, and Doctoral programmes to more than 9,239 students.

Sarvajanik University Hosts 4th Convocation, Awards Degrees to Over 2,000 Students-PNN

The Convocation Ceremony was graced by Prof. Rakesh Mohan Joshi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT), as the Chief Guest, who delivered the Convocation Address. Hon’ble Justice (Retd.) Shri Ravi R. Tripathi, Former Judge of the High Court of Gujarat, attended the ceremony as the Guest of Honour.

The ceremony was presided over by the Hon’ble President of Sarvajanik University, Shri Ashish Vakil, and was also attended by Hon’ble Provost, Prof. Dr. Kiran Pandya, along with esteemed members of the Governing Body and the Board of Management of Sarvajanik University.

The programme sequence of the Convocation Ceremony was as follows:

•    Welcome Address by Hon’ble Provost, Prof. Dr. Kiran Pandya

•    Presidential Address by Hon’ble President, Shri Ashish Vakil

•    Address by the Guest of Honour, Justice (Retd.) Shri Ravi R. Tripathi, Former Judge, High Court of Gujarat

•    Convocation Address by the Chief Guest, Prof. Rakesh Mohan Joshi, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT)

•    Vote of Thanks by Registrar, Shri Ashish Desai

During the Convocation Ceremony, 2,114 students from various faculties and constituent colleges were awarded Degree Certificates across Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), and Postgraduate Diploma (PGD) programmes. In recognition of outstanding academic performance, 53 Gold Medals were also awarded to meritorious students.

The event witnessed the presence of over 2,500 attendees, including graduating students, their parents, faculty members, university officials, and distinguished guests, marking a proud and memorable milestone in the academic journey of Sarvajanik University.
