Agartala (Tripura) [India], December 15: <\/strong>The\u00a0Unity Promo Fest 2025<\/strong>\u00a0concluded on a grand and celebratory note, reaffirming Tripura\u2019s growing stature as an emerging tourism destination. The festival, inaugurated by Hon\u2019ble Chief Minister\u00a0Dr. Manik Saha<\/strong>, witnessed participation from across India and abroad, bringing together tourism stakeholders, cultural groups and the general public.<\/p>\n

Recalling the success of last year\u2019s edition, Tourism Minister\u00a0Sushanta Chowdhury<\/strong>\u00a0noted that over\u00a078 tour operators from 16 Indian states<\/strong>\u00a0had participated in the 2024 event, reflecting strong national interest in Tripura\u2019s tourism potential.<\/p>\n

This year, the Unity Promo Fest expanded its footprint beyond national boundaries. For the first time,\u00a0127 tour operators, including participants from Thailand, Malaysia, Bhutan and Myanmar, took part in the B2B tourism meetings. The Minister described this as a significant milestone and emphasised that business-to-business interactions play a pivotal role\u00a0<\/strong>in strengthening tourism networks and expanding market reach.<\/p>\n

Highlighting the tangible outcomes of earlier efforts, Chowdhury said that the previous B2B engagements resulted in\u00a0over 700 tourists being<\/strong>\u00a0sponsored by participating operators, generating\u00a0more than \u20b92 crore in tourism revenue<\/strong>\u00a0through packaged tours. He termed these results highly encouraging and motivating for the state\u2019s ongoing tourism initiatives.<\/p>\n

The Minister reiterated that Tripura\u2019s\u00a0natural beauty, cultural richness and heritage assets<\/strong>\u00a0remain its strongest tourism pillars. He assured delegates that several tourism infrastructure projects \u2014 inaugurated or laid out under the guidance of the Chief Minister \u2014 are progressing rapidly and will be completed in the coming months, further enhancing the state\u2019s appeal.<\/p>\n

Among the major initiatives, he highlighted the\u00a0\u20b998-crore Government of India-funded project<\/strong>\u00a0for the construction of replicas of\u00a051 Shaktipeeths in Gomati district<\/strong>, a major spiritual tourism attraction expected to be completed within 12\u201315 months.<\/p>\n

Chowdhury also underlined Tripura\u2019s archaeological significance and scenic landscapes, noting that the Tourism Department is actively promoting these assets through roadshows, promotional campaigns and participation in national and international tourism events to firmly place Tripura on the global tourism map.<\/p>\n

The festival concluded with a\u00a0spectacular closing ceremony, blending culture, celebration and music. The highlight of the evening was a live concert by popular singer Jubin Nautiyal<\/strong>, which drew an overwhelming turnout and created an electrifying atmosphere as thousands joined in to celebrate the spirit of unity.<\/p>\n
