The sculpture salutes the Spirit of the \u2018Aatmanirbhar\u2019 Indian Women taking flight and creating their own identity<\/em><\/p>\n

Ahmedabad (Gujarat) [India],\u00a0 March 3<\/strong>: Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd. (\u201cKMBL\u201d \/ \u201cKotak\u201d) today unveiled a specially commissioned sculpture at GIFT City ahead of International Women\u2019s Day on 8th<\/sup> March. Titled \u201cMeri Udaan, Meri Pehchaan\u201d<\/em>, the 21-foot high sculpture salutes the indomitable spirit of the Aatmanirbhar Indian Women and aims to inspire women across the country.<\/p>\n

The specially curated travelling sculpture designed by artist Shaila Nambiar is a tribute to Indian women who confidently take charge of their finances and move towards financial freedom. The red cape flowing from her shoulders, inspired by the Infinity symbol in Kotak\u2019s identity, symbolises her superpower; her strength and resilience.<\/p>\n

The unique travelling sculpture was unveiled in Gurugram last year. This year, she has travelled to GIFT City, near Ahmedabad.<\/p>\n

At an event organised in GIFT City, \u201cMeri Udaan, Meri Pehchaan\u201d, the sculpture was unveiled by chief guests Ms. Mona Khandhar, Principal Secretary (Economic Affairs), Finance Department, Govt of Gujarat; Dr. Indira Parikh, President \u2013 Antardisha, Founder \u2013 President, FLAME University and Former Dean, IIM A; Dr. Rachana Gemawat, Chairperson \u2013 FICCI FLO, Ahmedabad Chapter; as well as Dr. Rajul Gujjar, Principal \u2013 LD Engineering college, Ahmedabad, along with Ms. Shanti Ekambaram, Whole-time Director, Kotak Mahindra Bank Ltd.
